Artisto, Russian photo editor app made by Mail.Ru Group, has made it into the top-10 of the US App Store and top-50 of Google Play, reports vc.ru
It took two weeks from Artisto to jump through a thousand positions right to the top of the ranking. Anna Artamonova, Vice President of Mail.Ru Group, connects app's popularity growth with the addition of photo editing function. «For users, photo editing seems to be easier than video,» — claims Anna. According to App Annie, Artisto took the 15th place in the US App Store on Oct. 5. Also it could be found on the 46th position in Google Play on Oct. 6.
Being released in July, 2016, the app allows the customer to edit photo and video using neuronet algorithms. 18 artistic filters are available for users to choose from.
Two more Russian apps made for the same purposes are taking far lower positions. Vinci, a photo editor with the use of neuronet developed with the support of Vk.com was #663 in the US App Store on Oct. 5. Another hit-maker Prisma has gone out of top-100 to #121 since September.
